A Word From the President

Dear WBCS Members and Community Partners,

As I complete my first year as President and CEO of the Women’s Business Council - Southwest, I am proud of the incredible work this organization does day in and day out to support our members. WBCS has always had a proud history of providing support and resources to our women business owners. Over the last year, we have continued to build upon this legacy, while refining and improving our processes and quality of services. We have decreased our processing time for certification, enhanced our programming and have provided more opportunities for networking and capacity building.

As I look back at 2022, I am humbled by the overwhelming support from everyone in our membership. We have seen our network of support continue to grow, and we are excited to go into this new year with over 1,200 certified WBEs, and 86 Corporate Members. Together, we will continue to build a stronger foundation for our women-owned businesses to succeed. Our keen focus on our members has allowed us to maintain our best-in-class programming with over 1,000 members attending our programs and events this past year, and over 2,000 attendees overall. This is an over 40% increase in program engagement from 2021.

We continue to believe that supplier diversity is a business imperative, and WBCS is always looking ahead to how we can truly move the needle in order to make a measurable impact on those who are involved. The Women’s Business Council - Southwest will continue to be at the forefront of providing opportunities for WBEs to connect with corporate and government entities, and we continue to evolve our programming based on your feedback.

Thank you for your continued support and confidence in the Women’s Business Council - Southwest, and our mission of growing women-owned businesses. I am confident that we can and will continue to make a positive impact for our Women's Business Enterprises, and reach new heights of success.

I look forward to another amazing year of impact and transformation!

Sincerely,

Bliss Coulter
